Today marks 2 months since I started my foundation. I am really excited at how far we’ve gotten in the short time we’ve been around – we’ve got a name, a logo, and real partnerships. Thanks to LAPFC and Launch Soccer Inc, Morris (13 year old boy) and Mirriam (12 year old girl) will be coming from Uganda to Los Angeles on July 12 and staying until July 26. They will be participating in Launch soccer camp with my brother Ian and me. I am so excited to take them to the beach and Disneyland during their stay. I worry a bit that it will be such a shock to them but I also think they will be excited to go home and tell their families about everything. That was what it was like for me when I went to Uganda. If you didn’t already know, I’ve consulted with Round Table Pizza in La Cañada to host a World Cup finals viewing party on July 13 where 30% of all purchases will come to Ray United. Morris and Mirriam will be there so come and welcome them to the U.S., I’m sure they’ll love meeting you. If you already have a party scheduled for the game, it would be awesome if you ordered food from Round Table – all take out and online orders count. Personally, I am rooting for Switzerland in the World Cup but it would be exciting to see the USA in the finals too. Tell me, who you want to see in the finals?
